The UP Polytechnic Exam (JEEP - Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic) is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) for admission to various diploma courses in engineering, technology, and other fields at polytechnic institutions across Uttar Pradesh.
Once every year (usually in April-May)
150 MCQs (Maths, Physics, Chemistry)
3 hours (180 minutes)
600 marks (4 marks per correct answer)

The exam tests candidates' knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry based on the Class 10 syllabus with additional technical aptitude.
To be eligible for UP Polytechnic, candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. The minimum percentage required varies by category (35% for General, 33% for SC/ST). There is no upper age limit for appearing in the examination.
